Vladislav's menacing silhouette against the moonlit sky was an omen for many. Whispers of "horror on the wings of darkness" followed him like a shadow. Yet, little did they know, beneath his sharp-toothed grin lay a heart tender as the petals of a rose.
One evening, while scouring the town for his nightly drink, Vladislav overheard a soft cry from an alley. There, he found a stray kitten with a hurt leg. His instincts, conflicted between the hunt and the urge to help, tilted to the latter. He gently cradled the feline, using his ancient knowledge to heal its wound.
Word of this act spread, though not as one would expect. Lucy, a local baker, decided she would extend an olive branch to this creature of the night. Inviting him to dinner at her humble abode, she said, "Perhaps there's more to you than meets the eye."
The evening was filled with laughter and tales of old, with Lucy hanging onto every word. Yet, as the meal ended, she gleefully presented her pièce de résistance - freshly baked garlic bread.
